About Michael Davies

It can be safely said that I am not your regular marriage celebrant! My background is hardly conventional. For many years I was an internationally-mobile business executive and consultant in the information technology industry. My by-line could well have been "Have laptop, will travel." In the process, I developed an easy-going approach with all people at all levels and an ability to run a ceremony like a wedding without fuss.

In recent years I abandoned that entire life and became a marriage celebrant and also a writer with a growing reputation, and my books are in many bookshops and libraries in the region. You can look at my portfolio of work by clicking here.

The skills that once I used in business, I will now direct to designing and conducting a personalised and empathic wedding for you. I bring my creative writer's talents to helping you design your ceremony and my public speaking skills will now go to delivering a professional ceremony to help you start your new lives together.

Celebrant Services

I will work with you to design your ceremony or coordinate with a wedding planner if that is your choice. I will conduct it in any venue you choose, from your own home, your garden, a winery estate, the Botanic Gardens, on the beach or any place that suits your fancy at any level of formality or informality that you select, from top hat and tails to board shorts and thongs.

I will conduct weddings anywhere on the North Coast of NSW between Newcastle and Coffs Harbour, in the Hunter Valley and elsewhere by arrangement.
